Air India Express Flight Grounded at Trichy Airport Due To Technical Snag; 115 Passengers Stranded For 24 Hours

A total of 115 passengers of the Singapore-bound Air India Express were stranded at Tiruchirapalli International Airport for 24 hours due to a technical snag in the air conditioning system in the flight on Sunday evening.

Trichy, October 15: A total of 115 passengers of the Singapore-bound Air India Express were stranded at Tiruchirapalli International Airport for 24 hours due to a technical snag in the air conditioning system on Sunday evening. The pilot and the crew members of the flight also noted a technical snag before the takeoff. A technician team was called to fix the problem, but they could not rectify it. According to reports, the passengers were deplaned and were asked to wait at the airport. Later, they were accommodated in hotels. On Monday, the passengers were sent to Singapore in another Air India Express flight.

In another incident on Monday, The Air India flight AI031/172 Mumbai-Ahmedabad-London-Newark bound flight was grounded at Ahmedabad after the aircraft developed a technical snag. According to a tweet by ANI, the flight landed at Ahmedabad at 4:50 AM and developed a technical snag after landing. There were 130 passengers reported on the flight. According to ANI, 110 passengers were accommodated in local hotels in Ahmedabad while 20 passengers preferred to go back to their residences.
