Ahmedabad, October 10: A school teacher in Gujarat was recently suspended for allegedly molesting a student in Ahmedabad. The Ahmedabad City District Education Officer (DEO) ordered a private school in Ambawadi to suspend the teacher after a minor student accused the educator of allegedly molesting her. Following the DEO's order, the accused teacher was immediately suspended.

When Did the Incident Take Place?

According to a report in the Times of India, the incident took place nearly a year ago when the student accused the teacher of molestation. However, the incident came to light recently after the student's parents complained against the teacher and the school for inaction after the administration failed to take action against the teacher. This inaction comes after repeated complaints. Ahmedabad Shocker: Female Students Thrash Serial Harasser With Belts Near Balubhai Cross Roa (Watch Video).

After the parents complained, the DEO's office slammed the school's administration for not taking action against the accused teacher. They immediately ordered the suspension of the teacher. Last year, the victim, who was in Class 7, complained to the female teachers about the molestation.

School Does Not Take Action

When the school did not take action against the teacher, the student revealed her ordeal to her parents, who demanded strict action from the school administration. Back then, they even filed a complaint against the teacher with the Satellite police station. Following this, the school only formed an internal inquiry committee but did not take any disciplinary action against the teacher. Ahmedabad Shocker: Teenage Girl, Addicted to Mobile Phone and Social Media, Conspires to Kill Parents, Mixes Insecticides in Sugar; Know Why.

After the parents approached the DEO's office this year, DEO Rohit Chaudhary called the school and rebuked the administrators for their inaction. The officer also ordered the school to suspend the teacher immediately.
