Ahmedabad, July 29: In Ahmedabad, a man was left stunned when a medical checkup for his wife, who had been unable to conceive for a year, revealed her true age as the underlying cause of their infertility issues last year. He also found out that his wife's brother allegedly altered her birthdate on official documents from May 18, 1985, to May 18, 1991. Consequently, he filed an FIR with the Vejalpur police against eight individuals, including his wife, her father, and other relatives.

The victim recounted that he met his wife for the first time in May 2023. Despite his repeated requests, her family continuously delayed providing proof of her age and education. On the wedding day, during the marriage ceremony, they finally submitted copies of her school leaving certificate and passport, which the community accepted as genuine. Her birthdate was recorded as May 18, 1991, in the marriage register, as reported by Times Now. Ahmedabad Shocker: Woman Kills 10-Month-Old Daughter by Slitting Her Throat With Blade From Husband’s Shaving Kit in Astodia, Arrested.

He explained that when they couldn't conceive, his mother-in-law and sister-in-law took his wife to a doctor in Juhapura for a check-up, but she didn't share the report with him. Later, in September 2023, a gynaecologist in Paldi confirmed that her sonography report indicated she was 40 to 42 years old and couldn't conceive naturally. He obtained the Juhapura report, which matched the gynaecologist's findings. He also noticed his wife had avoided providing original documents for registering the marriage and for banking purposes. In September, she returned to her parents' house, and he learned that her brothers had altered her birthdate on official documents from May 18, 1985, to May 18, 1991. Ahmedabad Shocker: Man Allegedly Bites Off Wife's Finger During Domestic Dispute in Sardarnagar After Accusing Her of Having an Affair.

Following this, the victim registered a case. He approached the Vejalpur police and filed an FIR against eight people, including his wife, her father, and her relatives. The FIR was registered under multiple sections of the IPC, including breach of trust, forgery, cheating, criminal conspiracy, and intimidation.

According to reports, the man also recorded a two-hour video in which he confronted the woman’s family, who allegedly admitted to their wrongdoing and apologised.
