Ahmedabad, October 24: In a shocking incident in Gujarat, a man allegedly climbed into a woman's hotel room and molested her in Ahmedabad. Police officials said the accused reportedly climbed to the woman's room on the fourth floor after seeing her enter a hotel in Naroda. After climbing through a pipe, the accused jumped into the woman's room through a window and allegedly molested her.
According to a report in the Times of India, the incident took place in the wee hours of Monday, October 23. In her complaint lodged with Naroda police station, the 26-year-old woman said that she and her husband checked into the hotel located in the Naroda-Muthia area a month and a half ago as their house was under renovation. The woman said that on Monday, October 23, at around 3.30, she saw someone at the window when her husband had gone out to bring snacks. The woman said that a man suddenly jumped into her room and demanded that she have sex with him. When the woman resisted the accused, he allegedly molested her. Following this, the woman ran out of her hotel room, screaming for help.
Hearing the woman's screams, hotel workers and her husband rushed to her aid. Cops said that the accused even went to assault the complainant's husband. Amid all this, a hotel worker called the police, who immediately rushed to the spot and arrested the accused, Parth Patel. An officer said that Patel is a resident of Sardarnagar and has been accused of molestation and assault. Speaking about the incident, S J Bhatia, Naroda police inspector, said that Patel is a daily wage labourer. He further said that the accused was keeping a watch on the complainant for a long time. Even after being caught, the accused continued to abuse and threaten the couple and even went on to assault the woman's husband.
