Agra, October 16: Shahganj Police have arrested six people for alleged theft at Indian cricketer Deepak Chahar's home in Mansarovar colony in Agra. The crime came to light when Chahar's mother who was alone in home raised an alarm after sensing something is not right. Six people have been arrested by the police after they tried breaking into the cricketer's home, reported Times of India. Later during the investigation ,police found that the culprits were wanted for several cases of thefts and burglary.
The accused were identified as Rajkumar, Rupkishore, Dasrath, Deendayal, Vijay Kushwaha and Rakesh. As per the TOI report, the accused have been booked under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 412 and arms act. The accused tried to commit the crime by cutting CCTV wires but Chahar's mother raised alarm after sensing that something is wrong. Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar has recently made his ODI debut against Afghanistan in Asia Cup 2018 -- the tournament which India won under the Rohit Sharma's captaincy. With this debut, he became the 223rd player to represent India in One day cricket but failed to gain a spot for the Upcoming ODI against West Indies.
