Lucknow, August 15: Police have arrested former councillor of Agra Municipal Corporation for allegedly murdering his eight-month-old pregnant second wife. According to a Times of India report, the woman, who is the accused's second wife, was found with a slit on her throat at her residence. Darvesh Yadav, UP Bar Council's 1st Female President, Shot Dead in Agra Court Premises.

The former Councillor was booked under several sections of IPC, including murder and intent to prevent a child from being born alive. The reason behind the murder was because his wife was pressurising him to write a part of his property in her and their future child's name. But the man already had two children born from her first wife, with whom she was still not divorced.

The accused first tried to gag his wife with a towel, and then he slit her throat while she was browsing Facebook on her phone. After committing the murder, he left for his sister's place from there. Police have found out the knife with which the murder took place.
