Chaturvedi on Sunday reached out to the Mumbai Police via the social media, after a Twitter user identified as 'Jay Shri Ram' and using the handle - @GirishK1605 - said he would rape the Congress spokesperson's daughter. To justify his angst, the troll shared a fake quote attributed to Chaturvedi which defended the Muslim rapists of an 8-year-old girl in Mandsaur.

The fake quote attributed to her said it is the "right of Muslims to commit rapes". Mischievous elements on the social media began circulating the quote with Chaturvedi's name. The messages were aimed at flaring communal tensions, apart from tarnishing the perception of the Congress.
The troll attack against Chaturvedi came shortly after the miscreants targeted External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for acting against Lucknow passport officer Vikas Mishra who allegedly harassing an interfaith couple.
