Mathura, April 4: In a shocking case reported from Uttar Pradesh, a woman police constable was severely injured after few unidentified car-borne assailants threw acid on her in Mathura's Sadar Bazar area, police said on Thursday. According to police, constable Neelam, posted at Ramjanmbhumi police station, was on her way to work when she was attacked.
Meanwhile, the victim has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. According to doctors, she has received around 40 per cent of acid burns. A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and efforts are on to nab the assailants. The reason behind the deadly attack is assumed to be some old dispute.
