New Delhi, October 17: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh received a notice from Ahmedabad court after a civil suit was filed by Reliance Infrastructure Limited for his allegations over the Rafale deal. However, Singh, while reacting to the defamation said that he will continue to raise his voice against the Rafale deal which he considers as a scam and filed his submission before the court. The defamation suit filed by Anil Ambani seeks damages of Rs 5,000 which he occurred due to his views on Rafale deal.
While defending himself, Singh said that he had replied to the notice and will go to court. Singh has been a regular critic for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he has often criticised the Modi government and levelled charges of corruption on them. Singh also alleged that French Rafale fighter jet deal for 36 Rafale fighter jets is a scam which involved Rs 36,000 crores. Previously, a youth leader from Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has also allegedly filed a lawsuit against him.
In the last month, Singh had sent a legal notice to the Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman over the Rafale deal. In the notice, he demanded to scrap the Rafale deal and sought a probe by a Supreme Court-monitored special investigation team (SIT).
