New Delhi, October 11: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Naveen Das, who was found dead inside his car earlier this month, was allegedly killed by his friend and accomplices, said the police on Wednesday. According to reports, the police have said that Das was in a homosexual relationship and was allegedly forcing the accused to live with him in a rented flat in Delhi. The police have arrested three men and said that the victim was blackmailing the accused at the behest of a video that he said he would make viral. Uttar Pradesh: AAP Leader Naveen Das Body Found Charred in Ghaziabad.

Das was found charred to death on the road leading to Loni from Sahibabad inside a burnt down car. His body was found on the driver's seat. An unscathed mobile phone was recovered from inside the vehicle. Whatsapp messages till 4.30 am were found on it, police said.

The police, on the basis of investigation, have arrested Tayyab Qureshi, his brother Talib Qureshi and their friend Samar Khan. Police said that they mixed sedatives in the food that Das was supposed to eat and after he consumed the food, they robbed him.

Das's family had alleged foul play. His car keys were missing. The family had suspected that whoever carried out the crime might have called him to a deserted spot, locked him inside the car before torching the vehicle. With the keys missing, Das would have failed to roll down the power windows or escape by unlocking the doors.
