Mumbai, December 25: The security cover of Aaditya Thackeray (Shiv Sena leader) has been upgraded from Y+ to Z Category, after a threat perception assessment, according to Mumbai Police. The changes in security cover took place after a review undertaken by a Maharashtra government committee on the basis of threat perception.

The 'Z' security cover means more personnel will be guarding the 29-year-old MLA from Worli now. According to PTI reports, security cover of more than 90 people was reviewed by the Committee. NCP president Sharad Pawar will continue to have Z+ security, whereas his nephew and party leader Ajit Pawar retains Z category security cover. The security cover of Sachin Tendulkar has now been withdrawn under X category, however, he will be given a police escort whenever he steps out. Aaditya Thackeray Speaks up on Shiv Sena Workers Beating up Online Troll, Says 'Best Way to Deal With Trolls is to Ignore And Stay Calm'.
