New Delhi, February 6: In a big announcement before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the Ministry of Human Resource Development has issued a notification regarding the date for release of allowances as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission or 7th CPC for teachers, equivalent academic cadre, Registrars, Finance Officers and Controller of Examinations in the universities and colleges.
The latest notification said teachers, equivalent academic cadre, Registrars, Finance Officers and Controller of Examinations in the universities and colleges will get revised allowances as per the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission from July 1, 2017. The earlier notification, issued on January 28, had mentioned "with immediate effect" for the adoption of benefits.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government on January 15 had approved a proposal to extend the 7th Pay Commission to the teachers and other academic staff of the state government and government-aided degree level technical institution in the country, which will have additional Central government liability of Rs 1241.78 crore.
