Mumbai, December 31: BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav on Citizenship Amendment Act in Bengaluru said, "Many of our opposition leaders are 'knowledge-proof', the information doesn't get into their brains. The Act is so lucid, yet a controversy has been created which led to violence and unrest in the country.

Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat was appointed as the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of India by the Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet. The announcement came a day before General Rawat’s retirement as the Indian Army Chief. The Chief of Defence Staff will be a four-star General and will head the Department of Military Affairs.

In Delhi, the minimum temperature touched a low of 2.5 degree Celsius in New Delhi. There was dense fog, which reduced the visibility around the area and also caused an increase in the pollution levels.
