Gurugram, July 29: In a horrific tale of abduction and sexual assault, an 18-year-old girl was gangraped by three men over a period of seven months while she was kept hostage. The girl was rescued earlier in the week and is currently in the custody of her parents. A search operation has been launched by the police to nab the accused.
Based on the details provided by the victim, an FIR was initially registered by the women's police station in Rajasthan's Odiye Khera village. The complaint was subsequently transferred to the Odiya Khera police station in Bhilwara.
The teenager said she was kidnapped on gunpoint in December last year, when she had visited Odiye Khera to repay her father's debts.
The accused, she claims, took her to a remote place in Gujarat where she was locked up for months and raped each day by the three men.
Subsequently, she was taken to another remote location in Rajasthan where the accused held her hostage inside a room and gangraped her multiple times.
After a month, she was brought to Gurugram and kept under illegal confinement. After nearly three days' stay in Gurugram, the victim was taken to Wazirabad in Haryana and kept hostage.
In Wazirabad, the victim spotted her mother on the street and managed to escape. After meeting her mother, she narrated the ordeal. The family then approached the police and registered a complaint.
The victim has identified the accused as Mukesh, Shiva, and Darbar. They have been booked under IPC sections 376D (gangrape), 506 (threat to life) and 34, a police official privy to the case said.
