New Delhi, July 7: The health condition of former Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Narayan Dutt Tiwari or ND Tiwari deteriorated on Saturday after which he was shifted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Max Hospital in Saket, reported news agency ANI. ND Tiwari was hospitalized after a brain stroke on September 20.
There was infection in a kidney of ND Tiwari. The veteran Congress leader was also suffering from low blood pressure. Earlier, social media was flooded with posts claiming the death of ND Tiwari, with people sharing condolence messages for the nonagenarian leader.
Tiwari, who served as Union Minister in successive Congress governments, is under the treatment of senior neurosurgeon J D Mukherjee and senior cardiologist Sumit Sethi. After being hospitalised on September 20, Tiwari was in ICU till October 12. He was moved to a private room when his health improved later.
However, on October 26, he was shifted back to ICU. Around a week later, he was again moved to a private room after improvement in his health condition. Tiwari’s health deteriorated on November 5 and has been on life support since.
