Mumbai, September 24: A serial sexual offender in his 20s, who is wanted by the Navi Mumbai, Thane and Mumbai police since last year, has been captured on CCTV cameras in Tuling and Nalasopara. According to a Times of India report, the accused is a paedophile has around nine sexual cases against him. The Nalasopara Police started circulating images of the suspect and awareness programmes are being run in schools, colleges, and at the stations. Police have further circulated his image on social media platforms. The recent case is in Nalasopara, where a 13-year-old girl was targetted minutes after she was dropped home by her father. The accused went to the girl's home and told them that her father asked him to bring her to pick some goods.

No foul play was suspected. He tricked her into believing that there is an insect inside her dress and if it will bite her, she will get cancer. The moment the girl removed her dress, the offender gagged her and raped her. She was later dropped near her house and he fled. In the September 20 case too, he applied the same trick on a 15-year-old girl of an auto-driver. The girl, however, raised an alarm and fled.
