Mumbai, July 3: In a piece of good news coming from the city, a 29-year-old lady passenger travelling towards Cama Hospital delivered a baby boy on a platform of Dombivli railway station today. According to an ANI update, doctors and nurses of One Rupee Clinic attended them. These clinics provide timely medical assistance to passengers at a token charge of Re 1. Over the last few days, Mumbai has been battling with heavy rains, which has caused severe water-logging and disruption in the local train services. Late evening on Tuesday, Central Railways resumed their services in some routes. The routes on the trains are too crowded today as well because Central Railways is operating their Sunday time table.

In April, an Ambivali woman who was traveling to Kurla by a local train, delivered at Thane station. Her labour pain started while she was in the station and the train was approaching Thane station. The railway staff was prompt, they alerted the station authorities on time. The lady was taken to the hospital and she successfully delivered her baby.
