Mumbai Student Suicide: Allegedly Caught Cheating During Examination

As per reports, case has been registered and investigation is underway.

Students committing suicide or trying to harm themselves owing to academic exam pressure is on a rise and numerous cases has been reported in a span of few months. According to an ANI report, a 12-year old girl who was studying in Class 8 at Michaels High School in Kurla West allegedly committed suicide after she was caught cheating by the teacher during examination. As per reports, case has been registered and investigation is underway.

Few days back, a class 9 student was found hanging inside her home in east Delhi by her parents. According to reports, the 15-year-old girl had failed in her examinations and her family blamed her school teachers for putting undue pressure on the deceased student. As per reports, the deceased girl's parents have alleged that two teachers were too strict on her and used to scold her unnecessarily.

Last month, as well, another student appearing for his class 12 board exams committed suicide because he couldn't bear the examination stress.
