Mumbai Rains Forecast: Intermittent Moderate Rain, Strong Gusty Winds to Continue During Next 2-3 Hours

Mumbai, July 2: Mumbai has been battling heavy rains over the last four consecutive days. The entire city affected by waterlogging, traffic snarls, flights delays, cancellation and also the suspension of local trains in a few routes. According to the weather app, Skymet, intermittent moderate rain with isolated heavy spells and strong gusty winds will continue over Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Palghar and Thane during next two to three hours. According to Mumbai Airport official, around 54 flights have been diverted to the nearby Airport. Mumbai local services have been affected and trains are running in selected routes. Early today, Brihanmumbai Municipal Commissioner Pravin Pardeshi declared all schools and colleges shut for the day as a precautionary measure. The Government of Maharashtra has declared a public holiday in Mumbai today, for the safety of Mumbai city and its citizens, in the wake of very heavy rainfall forecast by IMD
BMC claimed on Monday that Mumbai has received heaviest rainfall in the last decade this season.
