Mumbai, July 2: While the entire city is battling with torrential rains and the problems associated with it, there is some good news as well.According to Weather Channel India, of the two lakes supplying city's water, Tulsi is now 63 percent full (useful content), and Vihar is 34 percent full. These numbers were 33 percent and 11 percent respectively, just three days back. Maharashtra government declared today as public holiday after IMD forcasted heavy rains. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) claims that Mumbai has already witnessed a total of 85 percent rain in last four days, which is the usual rainfall for the entire month of June.

BMC put out a tweet saying, "Mumbai, we understand it's not been an easy Monday, but it's also been a rain spell like never before - it's the highest in a decade. 550 mm average of the entire month of June has been exceeded in just last 48 hours. We are truly trying our best. We request a bit of caution and patience."
