Mumbai, July 4: A day after incessant rains lashed Mumbai, a bridge at Grant Road station developed crack on Wednesday. According to a tweet by Mumbai Police, the bridge at Grant Road station cracked after which traffic was diverted. The bridge was later opened for traffic.

"The bridge at Grant road station has cracked, hence the traffic has been diverted to Nana chowk towards Kennedy bridge," the official Twitter handle of Mumbai Police said. Local train services on the Western Line, however, remains normal.

On Tuesday, Mumbai was crippled for the second time in less than a month after a section of a foot overbridge (FOB) crashed over the Western Railway (WR) tracks at Andheri following heavy rains.
