Mumbai, July 8: Amid incessant rains, portion of a residential building collapsed on Sunday in Kurla area. According to initial report, portion of a three-storey building in Kurla came down crashing in the afternoon.
Fire brigade and police official were present at the spot after the collapse. No injuries have been reported so far. Further details were awaited.
Heavy rains continue to affect normal life in several parts of Mumbai and adjoining areas on Sunday. Water-logging was reported at several places leading to adverse traffic condition.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday said, "Heavy to extremely heavy rainfall likely to occur in Mumbai, Raigad, Thane and Palghar today.
