Mumbai, July 8: A food delivery boy was arrested by the Agripada police with 91 bottles of cough syrup outside Byculla station, late Saturday night. According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the accused was to deliver the bottles in Nagpada and Dongri, where a single bottle is sold for Rs 300. The report mentions that these cough syrup bottles are in huge demand among drug addicts in Govandi, Deonar, Kurla, Jogeshwari for their high codeine content.

The police had got prior information based on which, they arrested the suspect Safdar Ikrar Ahmed Khan. Reportedly, the consignment is valued at Rs 28,000. Police are not trying to find out the person from whom Khan used to collect the bottles for delivery in South Mumbai.
