Mumbai: 12-Year-Old Boy Slips Into Water-Filled Pit Dug Near Construction Site at Worli, Dies
A 12-year-old boy from Mumbai allegedly died after slipping to a water-filled pit at an under construction site in Worli. The father of the deceased has alleged that BMC is to be held responsible for the negligence that has costed his son's life. It really comes as a shock because just last week, a 3-year-old toddler fell into a gutter in Goregaon area.
Mumbai, July 15: As the search operation for the toddler who fell into a gutter continues, here comes another incident from Mumbai. A 12-year-old boy died after allegedly slipping into a water-filled pit dug near the construction site of the coastal road at Worli, on Friday. According to an ANI report, his parents said, "The pit was dug by BMC. After the accident occurred, a board was erected & a watchman was deputed." Deceased's father according to an ANI tweet has been quoted saying, "He was 1st taken to Poddar Hospital where he was admitted after a delay. They told us they don't have the required equipment. Then he was taken to Nair Hospital, where we were told to get some paperwork done first. Then they declared him dead. He could have been saved"

Last week, a three-year-old fell into a manhole in Ambedkar Nagar area of Goregaon. The toddler has been identified as Divyansh who fell into an open manhole on Wednesday night. A CCTV camera captured moments when Divyansh fell into the drainage.
Soon after the boy fell, Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) launched a search and rescue operation to locate the three-year-old. The drainage department of the city is also involved in the operation.
