Bihar, May 4: In a surprising twist of events, today, Bihar Disaster Management Minister Dinesh Chandra Yadav confirmed there were no casualties in yesterday's Motihari bus accident, as reported by ANI. He had earlier confirmed on camera about 27 deaths.
On Thursday, there were reports that 27 passengers are feared dead after a bus travelling from Muzaffarpur to New Delhi turned turtle and caught fire on NH-28 near Belwa village in Bihar's Motihari. Yadav had said that East Champaran DM has confirmed the deaths of 27 people.

He further quoted in an ANI report saying, "There was booking for 13 people, eight were taken to hospital by authorities, there was no sign of remaining five, no remains were found. They might have left the spot on their own."

On Thursday, Yadav also announced a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the next of kin of dead in such cases and it will be given:

This statement comes as a huge shock because then on what basis did the Bihar Disaster Management confirm that 27 people have died and announced compensation for them on Thursday?
