The Karnataka Assembly Election 2018 has gone through a lot of dramatic twists and surprises at every step. BJP emerged as the single largest party but was short of the majority. JD(S) even accused BJP of trying to poach their members and bribing them with Rs 100 crore, and a cabinet seat.

Taking a dig at the situation of BJP in the state, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray has made a cartoon mocking that how power is getting snatched from the hands of the party. The cartoon depicts Congress president Rahul Gandhi reaching deep down into the throat of BJP president Amit Shah, as Kumaraswamy looks on.

So from a fractured mandate, Yeddyurappa's two-and-a-half day stint as the Chief Minister, to the Supreme Court's midnight session hearing, viewers were up for new surprises at each step. Today, With HD Kumaraswamy set to take oath as Chief Minister of Karnataka on Wednesday, JD (S) and Congress will form a government in the state.

Kumaraswamy will take the oath today at 4:30 pm. Congress will get 24 ministerial portfolios while the JD(S) will have 12 ministers in the cabinet of 34.
