It is said that taking a dip in the holy Ganga river can relieve you of all your sins. But this group of 150 Indian men from across the country, packed their bags and left for Varanasi to take a dip in the river and get rid of 'toxic feminism'. According to a News 18 report, these men who have had unsuccessful marriages and have been harassed by their wives are a member of this group. These men were celebrating the tenth year anniversary of their organisation called- 'Save Indian Family Foundation' (SIFF), whose the aim is to save the man and his family. Weird Reason to Divorce! According to this group, all the Indian laws are biased against the male population. They have questioned that if there can be an animal welfare ministry, why can't there be any ministry to protect men. Reportedly at the event, all the husband performed the last rites of their marital relations. A member of the group, Deshpande said, "These men have been harassed for years by their wives. Their peace of mind was taken away from them. The baggage of their marital relationship was tagging them."
These 'harassed men' performed the last rites (shraddha) for their alive wives, who don't live with them anymore. A ‘pishachini mukti puja’ for their former wives-- in order to get rid of the 'bad memory of past marital relationships' According to an alarming statistics shared by Vakharia, the founding member of SIFF,- 92,000 husbands commit suicide every year because of the mental torture owing to matrimonial dispute as compared to 24,000 wives who end their lives every year.
In the last 13 years, the organisation spread across the country and now have 200 centres and about 4,000 volunteers. The group also counsels the aggrieved men when their wives file a divorce case against them.
