Srinagar, Jul 4: Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti should have recommended dissolution of Jammu and Kashmir legislative assembly to Governor N N Vohra to save her party from the ongoing "poaching" in the state, National Conference leader Omar Abdullah said today.

"Did @MehboobaMufti make a historic blunder by not recommending the dissolution of the J&K Assembly to Gov Vohra? As per our constitution, he would be bound by her advice & she would have saved her party from all the poaching that is going on at the moment," Omar said in a tweet.

Abdullah was referring to three PDP MLAs -- Imran Ansari,  Abid Ansari and Abbas Wani -- revolting against Mufti's leadership. In an apparent reference to the rebellion, the NC vice president said, "This is all beginning to sound like the proverbial house of cards".

Responding to a query on what kind of money was being offered to the legislators to switch sides in the state assembly, Abdullah said he was not aware of the allurements. "Fortunately they know I'm not in the market(.) Consequently, I have no idea," he replied.
