The north-eastern states of Meghalaya and Tripura went to polling on February 27 while Nagaland voted on February 18.

In Meghalaya Assembly Elections 2013, the Indian National Congress (INC) won the assembly seats of Umsning, Nongpoh, and Umroi. North East Social Democratic Party (NESDP) won the Jirang seat, while an Independent candidate bagged the seat in Mawhati constituency.
