Manohar Parrikar Health Update: Goa CM Leaves for US
Before leaving for Mumbai on Tuesday, Parrikar held a series of meetings, including one with senior state ministers.
Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar left to USA late last night to undergo treatment for his "medical condition".
As per reports, Parrikar, 62, has already informed Governor Mridula Sinha that he has been advised to travel overseas for "specialised expert treatment" for his "medical condition".
According to an official statement, The Chief Minister has been in and out of hospitals since February 15. On Monday evening, he left for Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital where he is being treated for "mild pancreatitis". As per reports, doctors in Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai had advised him to go abroad for treatment.
In a video message on Monday, Parrikar thanked Goans for their prayer and sought a medical leave. Before leaving for Mumbai on Tuesday, Parrikar held a series of meetings, including one with senior state ministers.
