Mainpuri, June 13: In a tragic incident in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, around 17 people have died, and more than 35 are left injured after a private bus hit a divider and overturned. According to reports, the private bus lost control and rammed into the road divider. The private Volvo bus was travelling from Rajasthan’s Jaipur to Farukkhabad in Uttar Pradesh.
The bus was allegedly speeding, and many of the deceased were travelling on the roof of the bus. More details on the same are awaited. As per an Indian Express report, senior officials from Mainpuri area are at the spot, and cranes are being used to pull the bus, which has turned turtle in the accident.

In April this year, a speeding train crashed into a school van at an unmanned crossing in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar, around 50 km from Gorakhpur. More than 14 children and several were injured in it.
