Man-eater Tigress Avni, Alleged For 14 Deaths, Killed In Maharashtra's Yavatmal.
A few days back, tigress Avni was killed in Maharashtra's Yavatmal. Earlier in September, the Supreme Court had ruled that T1 or Avni, could be shot at a sight, prompting a large number of online petitions. It was earlier said that the animal was shot dead in self-defence, however, post-mortem and witness reports said the animal was not shot dead because of that reason. The autopsy also found that thigh of tigress Avni had no impact of the dart “fired from a syringe projector” (tranquilising gun).
