Madhya Pradesh: Woman Set Ablaze by In-Laws Over Water Dispute in Betul District
The woman has been allegedly she ablaze by her father-in-law and two brothers-in-law allegedly over a water dispute, in Badora village of Betul district. She is currently in the hospital, undergoing treatment. A similar incident happened in Etah a day before, where a pregnant woman was shot dead over water dispute.
Madhya Pradesh, July 19: In another shocking case of domestic violence from the state, a woman has been admitted to a hospital after she was set ablaze by her father-in-law and two brothers-in-law allegedly over a water dispute, in Badora village of Betul district. ASP Betul as quoted in an ANI report said, "They live in a joint family. FIR registered against the three."

The altercation in Etah happened between the victim and the accused Santosh, while they were in a line to fill water from the nearby hand pump. The fight allegedly started between their children first, and their respective parents had gone to intervene in the matter. In a fit of rage, Santosh shot the pregnant woman and fled from the spot. However, Uttar Pradesh Police soon nabbed the culprit and took him to custody.
