On Sunday night, a tanker caught fire while transferring petrol at a Madhya Pradesh petrol pump. According to a video on ANI, a huge disaster was averted when the driver of the tanker promptly drove away from the pump into a vacant area, where the fire was eventually doused by the fire department.
According to reports, the incident took place in MP's Narsinghpur - around 220 kilometres from the state capital of Bhopal - when petrol was being transferred to the pump. While, the cause of the fire is not known yet, but an explosion could have caused huge casualties as the pump is situated at a busy road.

Driver of the tanker has suffered burns and as per local reports, he is being treated for it in the hospital. Hats off to the presence of mind of the driver, who showed exemplary courage and steered away the vehicle into a nearby vacant space, thus averting a huge accident, which could have resulted in casualties.
