India's Lakshya Sen won the gold medal in the men's singles category of the Badminton Asia Junior Championships here on Sunday. The Indian sixth seed registered an easy 21-19, 21-18 victory in 46 minutes over Thai top seed Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the Under-19 final.

New Delhi, July 22: An encounter was underway in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district. Security forces neutralised three terrorists. The terrorists are believed to be the ones who abducted and killed trainee constable Mohammad Saleem Shah on Saturday. This comes a day after an encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists in Tanghdar sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district on Saturday.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi will chair the first meeting of the newly constituted Congress Working Committee, the party’s highest decision-making body, today. Rahul Gandhi formed new Congress Working Committee on July 17. It includes 23 members, 19 permanent invitees and 9 special invitees. Another batch of 1,561 pilgrims on Sunday left Jammu for the Kashmir Valley to perform the Amarnath Yatra.
