Amid intensive election campaigns by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and other opposition parties for the upcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls, several surveys have predicted that the BJP will win in 2019 and continue to be in power. According to the ABP News- CVoter ‘Desh ka Mood’ survey, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return for a second term in 2019. The survey, however, predicted that the vote share of NDA and UPA will be 38 percent and 25 percent respectively.

In an attempt to provide relief to the commuters, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday cut petrol and diesel prices by Rs 2.50 per litre with immediate effect.
