Former Bishop Franco Mulakkal who was accused of raping a nun from Kerala has been from Kottayam jail on Tuesday. On Monday, the Kerala High Court granted conditional bail to Mulakkal. He was arrested last month on charges of raping a nun repeatedly between 2014 and 2016. The court also asked Mulakkal to surrender his passport and appear before the police every two weeks. One of the conditions of the bail is the rape accused will stay out of Kerala.

Much to the relief of commuters in the national capital, the most awaited Rani-Jhansi Flyover was inaugurated on Tuesday to benefit lakhs of travellers. The Rani Jhansi Grade separator, an ambitious flyover project in north Delhi, was thrown open to the public by Union Environment Minister Harsh Vardhan in the presence of other ministers. According to an official release, the free flow of traffic would help in reducing pollution and nearly 5 lakh commuters will be benefitted with this initiative.

Trouble seems to be brewing for Union Minister MJ Akbar, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment under the #MeToo campaign. At least 17 of his former subordinates, who were employed by The Asian Age newspaper when he was its editor, announced on Wednesday that they would be testifying against him.
