Delhi's Patiala House Court grants bail to Naveen Jindal and 14 others in alleged irregularities in the allocation of Jharkhand coal block matter. All accused have to furnish a personal bail bond of Rs 1 lakh each and one surety in the like amount.


Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar refuted allegations of sexual harassment levelled by female journalists in the ongoing #MeToo movement. Calling the allegations 'baseless' and 'wild', Akbar said he will take a legal action against accusations made against him of sexual harassment. The Rajya Sabha MP kept silence on his resignation.

Passengers travelling in trains can now lodge a complaint through a mobile app with regards to any harassment, theft, any crime against women cases. The complaint, which will be made through an app, will be registered as 'Zero FIR’ and immediately investigated by the RPF. The app will also have a panic button for women in distress.

Police have arrested all four accused who attacked a journalist and his friend in Mumbai near Gamdevi police station yesterday.

Some big developments that are expected to happen today are: Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi are Rs 82.72 per litre and Rs 75.46 per litre (increase by Rs 0.08), respectively. Petrol and diesel prices in Mumbai, on the other hand, are at Rs 88.18 per litre and Rs 79.11 per litre (increase by Rs 0.09), respectively.
