Indian Embassy in USA: 10th edition of the joint military exercise ‘Vajra Prahar’ between India & US will be held at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Seattle. A 45-member Special Forces team from the Indian Army will train alongside US Special Forces from 13–28 October 2019.

Sixteen people died and two were seriously injured in an attack on a mosque in Burkina Faso's volatile north, security sources said Saturday.

New Delhi, October 12: After an informal summit with India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Nepal today. Jinping will land in capital Kathmandu at around 4:30 pm. He will hold meetings with Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari at Sheetal Niwas in the evening followed by a dinner hosted by her. Ahead of the formation of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and Union Territory of Ladakh, which is on October 31, the state government has directed all Administrative Secretaries to stay in Srinagar on the "appointed day". "Attention of all the Administrative Secretaries is invited towards the 'appointed day' for the formation of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Union Territory of Ladakh as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir re-organisation Act, 2019, that is October 31, 2019," a statement by the General Administration Department read.
