An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter Scale hit Chandel in Manipur during the wee hours of Wednesday. As per initial reports, the tremor has been harmless and no damage to lives or property has been reported yet.


This Diwali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be spending the auspicious festival with troops on the China frontier. It is reported that PM Modi will celebrate Diwali with Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force at Harsil in Uttarakhand. According to the report, PM Modi will first visit Kedarnath temple for reviewing the ongoing development work there and while returning he will be spending time with ITBP jawans in Harsil station.

India wins the match against West Indies by 71 runs and goes 2-0 up in the three-match series. Riding high on Rohit Sharma's record ton, India posted a daunting target of 196 runs on the board. Windies were never in the chase as wicket kept falling at regular interims.
