A BJP delegation will visit Sabarimala to take a first-hand account of the alleged atrocities on devotees by the police and Kerala administration protesting against the Supreme Court's order allowing women of all age group entry into the temple. Kerala activist Rehana Fathima has been suspended from her post of telecom technician at the BSNL. The state-owned company acted against her shortly after she was arrested for "hurting religious sentiments".

Voting is underway for 230 assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh Elections. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan prays on the banks of Narmada river, in Budhni. Voting in the state is underway.

According to the Air Quality Index (AQI) data, major pollutant PM 2.5 and PM 10 are at 245 and 247 respectively, in Lodhi Road. Both fall under 'Poor' category. Voting for 40 constituencies in Mizoram begins. Polling to conclude at 4 pm.
