Shortly after the IMD's fresh warning on thunderstorm issued in 11 states, gutsy winds and rainfall struck parts of Rajasthan. According to news agency ANI, severe dust-storm was reported in Jhunjhunu and Sikar late on Monday, which led to the disruption of electricity.
Thunderstorm and hailstorm alert issued for Dehradun district for the next 48 hours. In the wake of the alert, all schools and Anganwadi centres in the district to remain closed tomorrow, news agency ANI reported.
Tripura's Khowai district on Monday was struck by a thunderstorm. At least one person was confirmed to be dead, whereas, nine others were rushed to the hospital after sustaining injuries. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said the relief operation has been initiated. Read full report.
