The meeting between BJP President and Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray has ended. BJP President Amit Shah had reached Matoshree- the official residence of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray around 7pm. Amit Shah is in Mumbai and met industrialist Ratan Tata and actress Madhuri Dixit under the Sampark for Samarthan initiative of the BJP. The BJP President tried to pacify the Shiv Sena chief who is irked with BJP for various reasons and had announced that Shiv Sena would fight the 2019 elections alone in the state. Details about what conspired in the meeting is awaited.

Former President and Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee arrived in Nagpur on Wednesday evening. The former president accepted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's invitation to attend the event. Pranab Mukherjee's acceptance of RSS invitation has created a sense of discomfort in the Congress and has triggered a dialogue in the political circles as to whether the Congressman should have agreed to be a part of BJP's guiding organisation. The event is slated for tomorrow.
