Fuel rates continue to rise for the 12th day in a row on Friday, despite nation-wide protests and assurance from the government. Taking the cost of petrol and diesel to a record high once again. In Mumbai, one litre of petrol today will cost Rs 85.65/litre as compared to Wednesday's rate of Rs 85.29. The diesel rate in the city is now jumped at Rs 73.20/litre. The cost of petrol in Delhi today is at Rs 77.83/litre, and those having diesel cars will have to shell out Rs 68.75 per litre.
These rates will further raise the agitations and protest by the opposition on Modi government. Yesterday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi accepted an online fitness challenge posed by Indian Cricket captain Virat Kohli, Congress President Rahul Gandhi dared Prime Minister for a fuel challenge.
