On Tuesday, the Karnataka Assembly Election results were declared. It was indeed a dramatic day, as new twists and turns took place till the final result of the counting was declared. Even though, BJP emerged as the single largest party, but it fell short of the majority mark. This opened a lot of opportunity for Congress and JD(S) to come together and form a government. On the other hand, BJP government has asked for two-days in hand so that they can prove their majority. It will be interesting to see, finally who will manage to form the government in Karnataka.

In a tragic accident, an under-construction bridge collapsed near Varanasi Cantonment railway station. Eighteen bodies have been recovered from the debris, while several others were still trapped under the rubble. Several vehicles were also reported to be stuck under rubble.
