Monsoon showers hit parts of Odisha on Wednesday and caused water-logging in Bhubaneswar. The southwest monsoon has entered Rajasthan and conditions are favourable for its further advancement, the meteorological department said today.

On the occasion of Passport Seva Divas on Tuesday,  External Affairs Ministers Sushma Swaraj introduced new rules and services. For e.g. now marriage certificate won't be required when you are filing for your passport, also divorced women, will no longer be required to fill the name of their ex-husband and the children of their estranged father, because this rule too has been scrapped after receiving numerous complaints. To make the passport filing a seamless process, Swaraj announced the launch of Passport Seva App, which will enable people to apply for their passport from any part of the country. In addition to this, the police verification will be done on the address provided in the app, also the passport will be dispatched to that address.
