India defeated Bangladesh on Tuesday, by 28 runs in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 (CWC 2019) match at the Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Owing to the torrential rainfall in Mumbai, 22 persons have lost their lives after a wall collapsed on hutments in the Pimpripada area of Malad East. Several flights to Mumbai were diverted and many got canceled on Tuesday, due to the inclement weather conditions in Mumbai and the main runway being un-operational. Towards the late evening, Central Railway local services resumed partially after the tracks were waterlogged. According to an ANI update, bodies of two persons have been recovered by civil administration after the Tiware dam in Ratnagiri was breached. About 22-24 people are missing and 12 houses near the dam have been washed away. Heavy rainfall prediction from July 3 to 5 continues and people have been asked to stay alert.
