"The acts of Rahul Gandhi, the hug that the entire nation saw, has disrespected the Parliament. And the winking incident, I and the youth know that such winks are made by 'loafers' outside colleges or maybe at some girls. We condemn such acts," Naik said.

New Delhi, July 24: All eyes will be on Maharashtra today where Maratha groups have called for a bandh, demanding reservation for community in government jobs and education. Three cities - Mumbai, Pune and Solapur - are not included in the stir so public transport and emergency services will remain unaffected there. The impact of Maharashtra Bandh in other parts of the state will be keenly watched.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will today proceed to Uganda, where he will undertake engagements from July 24 to 25. The visit will mark the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in over 20 years. PM Modi will call on Uganda President Yoweri Museveni and hold delegation level talks. He will also address Uganda's Parliament and the Indian diaspora.

Meanwhile, a small batch of 1,282 pilgrims todya left Jammu for the Kashmir Valley to perform the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, officials said. The yatris left Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in an escorted convoy of 44 vehicles. The batch includes yatris going to Baltal as well as the Pahalgam base camp. To date, over 2,45,000 pilgrims have performed the yatra that started on June 28.

A high level team, set up by the Rajasthan Police on Monday, to probe why policemen took three hours to reach a hospital only four kilometres away with a badly injured man accused of smuggling cows, admitted local personnel made an "error of judgement". An Assistant Sub-Inspector was suspended for the undue delay and action taken against four constables.
