New Delhi, July 20: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Kargil, Jammu and Kashmir, today. Rajnath Singh will pay tributes to soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Kargil war. “Leaving New Delhi for Drass on a day-long visit to J&K. Shall visit the Kargil War Memorial to pay tributes to the fallen soldiers. I shall also be visiting Jammu region where two bridges built by BRO at Ujh in Kathua and Basantar in Samba will be dedicated to the nation,” the Defence Minister said in a tweet. Kargil, Pulwama Showed India Won’t Hesitate to Strike Back, Says High Commissioner to Pakistan Parthasarathy.

An earthquake measuring 5.5 magnitudes on the Richter Scale hit East Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh at 4:24 AM today, according to the Indian Meteorological Department. No casualties or injuries were reported. An earthquake of the same magnitude had hit Arunachal Pradesh on Friday as well.

An accident took place on Pune-Solapur highway near Kadamwak Wasti village in Pune on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. At least nine people were killed in the collision between a car and a truck. According to reports, the driver of the car lost control of his vehicle and collided with the truck.
