Following the chaos and tensions between the Central Bureau of Investigation and Central Vigilance Commission, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday approved the proposal of Department of Personnel and Training decision of curtailment of Special CBI Director Rakesh Asthana with immediate effect. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited (GCMMF), popularly referred to as Amul, has issued a notice to the Indian arm of search engine giant Google, over the "fraudulent franchise advertisements" being posted on its platform. The dairy marketing firm has alleged that fake entities, masquerading as Amul agents, sell out the franchise to people through Google ads.

Sri Lanka which is struggling to pay its foreign debts will receive a loan to pay off its other loan commitments from Bank of China before the end of the March quarter, according to a report by Reuters news agency. The Sri Lankan government is negotiating the terms of a loan of up to $1 billion from Bank of China.
